The Andaman Chamber of Commerce and industry (ACCI) is an apex body , a vanguard of island building and integrating the Andaman Economy and its forefront in implementing the policies and procedures and economic development of the island. It was established in the year 1962 to serve the business community in these emerald and exotic island. Starting with a few members the membership has now risen to 219. The members hail from diversified areas such as tourism, timber, shipping, fisheries, marine, food processing, Hotel, Clearing and forwarding, plantation, General trade and Commerce and Finance Law & Profession to name a few. Among others the chamber has the following affiliates: 1.Grain Dealers and Grocers Association 2.Katchal Shopkeepers Association 3.Chamber of Kamota Merchants 4.Andaman Tourists Guild 5.Direct taxes Practitioners Association 6.Small Scale Industries Association 7.A & N Woodbased Industries Association 8.Vegetable Vendors Association 9.Builders Association 10.Andaman Tour Operators & Travel Agents Association  This chamber is affiliated to Bharat Chamber of Commerce, Kolkata and Southern India Chamber of Commerce& Industry ,Chennai. It is also a member of Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) , New Delhi. It speaks directly and indirectly for its members to the Andaman and Nicobar administration and is also represented on a number of Advisory bodies/committees set up by A&N administration. |
