| Activities Association holds regularly monthly meeting on 10th of every month. It promptly moves various agencies in the State/ Centre / Corporates for satisfactory resolutions of current problems. Some of the achievements of the Association in the past few years are indicated below: 1.To ensure framing of policies that do not adversely affect SSI/ medium scale industries interests. Association has always been actively pursuing relevant matters with raw material suppliers. When adequate response is not available, it has not shied away from filing complaints with: MRTP against (I) NOCIL in 1986, (II) Reliance Industries Ltd., and Indian petrochemicals corporation Ltd in 1987 objecting to discriminatory prices / marketing policies. 2. Excise related issues. Association has been an active member of PGC/RAC. Whenever ocassion arises, Association takes up the matter with Central Government. For example, excise duty on lay flat tubing was got removed during 1982, 1986, 1994 and 1997. 3.Association has been pursuinf the subject of categorization pf plastic products processing under Green Category by Government of NCT of Delhi/ other States. |
