The Activities af ALEAP are:
·Small Scale Industry- The imp. Of the SSI is well recognised from its significant contribution to the growth engines of our country. ALEAP took lots of initiative in developing Women Entrepreneurs with objectives of growth in generation of Employment, output, expansion and fostering entrepreneurship.

·Infrastructure:To create awareness inour Vijaywada cluster ALEAp designed Food processing seminar in collaboration with Govt. of AP and ministry of Food Processing, Govt. of India. This program was attended by 100 women entrepreneurs with keen interest in Food Processing Area and the program has been conducted for the devt. of ALEAP Food Processing Cluster at Vijay Wada. The progress of work at ALEAP food processing Cluster has been taken up and ALEAP developed land by providing an advance of Rs. 340 lakhs towards land cost.

·Promotion of SME of Women Entrepreneurs with ZDH- The Partnership program with ZDH to facilitate and exchange if ideas, information on best practices developed by partners, helped ALEAP to enhance measures to offer better services to our members. Our program on early Diagnosis of opportunities and Risks in Collaboration with ZDH helped many of our members to improve their working systems and identify areas which may cause sickness.The ZDH Partnership helped ALEAP is establishing networking partnership with other associations like MADITSSIA, KASSIA, PEENYA, MCCIA.

·Incubators- During the year we have added Note Book Manufacturing to the existing incubators. We have provided a sepearte RCC construction of 1400 sq. ft. with all the machinery required for mfg. Of Notebooks. We have also entered in agreement and given bank guarantees to an extent of Rs. 2 Lakhs to do the job work for STC. This incubator will provide income generation to 30 women from neighboring areas. Our I.T.incubator is being used by unemployed graduates.

·Vendor Devt.- Methods and strategies that were highly successful yesterday may only be of limited use today and tomorrow , they may be reason for failure. Outdated means of marketing products and services may be of hindrances when trying to maximize the potential of new development. For this reason ALEAp negotiated with MNCs like RPG, L&T, Dr. Reddy, Nagarjuna Fertilizers and other Public Sector Undertakings to recognize women entrepreneurs as their vendors.

·HRD & Training- In order to empower women in income generation activity women have been motivated by imparting skills like Jute Manufacturing, Leather,Garements, Food Processing, Paper Bags in rural areas all over AP.We have also conducted free training program under Mahila Janma Bhoomi in various areas like Jute, Leather and Garments. Aleap conducted various EDP through our institute-CED. Various skills were imparted by ALEAP Trainees in coordination with members association in Kadapa, Chittur, Devara Konda, Vijaywada this year.

·International Management Training Program- ALEAP believing that knowledge of business requires International exposure and strategy had exchange of programs with Universities like Thomas, Florida, USA. We have participated in Exhibition Made In India show organised by Cii at Johannesburg- South Africa. We have also led a delegation to Korea to enable our mrmbers to access Technology and gain information in areas like food Processing. As the follow up, we have arranged catalogue show of Machinery in Food Processing in collaboration with Korean Trade Centre.

·Exhibitions- ALEAP participated in Indl. Exhibition inaugurated by Honorable Chief Minister Sri N. Chandra Babu on Jan 1., 2002 was supported by SIDBI. Maximum Leverage is given to new products in the exhibition to meet the consumer and provide information regarding their products to out distance their competitors ALEAP also participated in International Conference on Medical and Aromatic Plants at Shilpakala Vedica, Hi-tech City, Hyderabad

·Achievments:
1.ALEAP also accomplished the task of setting up CED institute with an objective to fasten the entrepreneur training in A.P.

2.Mutual Credit Guarantee Fund- MCGF is based on the Italian model to leverage the collective strengths of SSI units for obtaining loans from the organised Banking sector on better terms and conditions with minimum procedural formalities and without collateral security. ALEAP is the first organisation which is prepared to create a corpus fund to give guarantee to desegregated banks for availing financial assistance for the projects evaluated and recommended by our ALEAp technical committee. This will enable members to access finance for cluster proposals without collaterals.
