 Art Metal Industry was established during Mughal rein in India when production of decorative articles was started. We have over 25 lacs artisans in this cottage industry and most of them are self employed in craft centers the figure 25 Lacs includes city and town like Moradabad, Shambhal, Bilari, Kundarki, Nageena, Kanth, Rampur, Aligarh, Hathras, Jalersa, Firozabad and Saharanpur.. Moradabad which is famous world over for the manufacturing articles and decorative handicrafts metal were has attained the status of being an important export center in remote corner of Up - Country. All out efforts are being made by exporting units to raise turnover. The potential of the industry is high and even more, provided educate infrastructure is made available. The industry while providing self employment more than five lacs artisans residing in Moradabad and nearby town like Amroha and Nagina, Sambhal, Rampur, Aligarh, Firozabad and Saharanpur etc. has been contributing valuable Foreign Exchange to the Exchequer of Handicrafts Art Metal Ware. |
