The Association is a member of the leading chambers of commerce and industry in India. It also maintains business and professional links with the Malaysian Palm Oil Promotion Council (MPOPC) , American Soybean Oil Association (ASA), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), American Oil Chemists Society (AOCS) for the exchange of information on oilseeds and edible oil production,imports of its disappearance. IVPA also has a technical committee to review any important deveopments,changes etc. IVPA maintains a databank on oilseeds, edible oils and vanaspati production both for the country and the world. In brief, it amintains all the current and historical information pertaining to the government policies,notifications and other allied matters for ready reference. It takes up important issues with government through representations and personal meetings. It prepares reports on oil price trends for members information. |
