                      SMEnetwork has 4 Pillars:

Each Level shows that information is further categorized to make it more specific and relevant to the topic. In most cases links of
various sites have been compiled that give the best information on the topic and where none is available content has been
provided. The Levels of Information within each Topic depend on the need to categorize the topic further.

For every topic it is not just information. On the right hand side Tool Boxes, Special Corners, Tutorials have been added where
one can download forms for free, read and download freely available guides, take a course on various unknown topics etc. For e.g.
in our Patents & Copyrights we have given special corners on Patents, Trade Marks etc. where various forms related to Patent or
Trademark filing have been provided to download, Government Resources can be seen etc.

For those SMEs, which have no idea about Computers & Internet and want to understand and learn efforts have been made to help
you understand both. A special Information Component called Learn Internet in which the information is compiles as if one is
attending a school. It has interactive lessons, Free Guides. Tutorials, Dictionaries etc.

For those aware of technology and are more interested in How Internet can help their Business, a separate section has been
created in Learn Internet which discusses various topics as to how Business could be done over Internet and explaining topics like
Internet Marketing, E-commerce and many more.

To make the mode interactive- suggestions, articles, thoughts are invited on every subject so that it becomes a two-way
communication and the valuable feedback can be incorporated to make the content better.

   2. Web Enabling Component

Apart from information SMEnetwork has taken an initiative to web enable all its registered members which means this component is
only for those who become its members. For registration Details Click Here.

Web Enabling means to give the members a web identity, which can then be used for marketing the company and its products. For
e.g. If Company XYZ becomes a member then it would get a web address - www.smenetworrk.net/xyz which can be used in
Business Cards, Letter Heads or wherever the company advertises itself.

Now by themselves it is both expensive as well as difficult to maintain a website for any SME and again SMEnetwork has risen to
the occasion by providing a webpage for just 500 Rs. and maintenance so easy that even a child can do it.

This Web Address gives XYZ a Home Page in which would have following essentials:
     1. Name and Details of 5 Products/ Services
     2. About the Company and its Logo.
     3. Contact Person
     4. Address with Phone No. Fax and Email.
     5. Two Photographs of Products/ Services
     6. An image conforming the Quality Standards (if a company has them)
     7. A seal which shows the name of Industrial Association which approved the membership of the company in SMEnetwork.
The Web Page is standard for all the members and the information is easily changeable in case address changes or Company
Logo changes or simply to change the photograph to give a new look.

The Information on the Web Page is enough to know about the company and its practices and if presented effectively is bound to
     get new Customers or Suppliers.

The other advantage is that the member becomes a part of the Trusted SME Community and clears fears about credibility of the
company which is one of the major problems of Internet but not of SMEnetwork. Only those members are allowed who are trusted
     and reliable.

SMEnetwork has tried to take care of all its members by first of all providing them the necessary tools for having Web Presence
and then marketing for them as well by making them a part of the trusted SME Community.

     3. Network Component

The Third pillar allows SMEnetwork and its members become a Community- Horizontal as well as Vertical.

Anything, whose success depends on cooperation/collective efforts, need to become a community where its members believe in
common values and systems. This fundamental stands for all- Family, Business, Society etc.

Same stands for World Wide Web. All the Web Sites, which have been successful, are those, which have managed to form a
community and some of them, are so strong that they have challenged the authorities in their area.

SMEnetwork also aims at building such communities Horizontally i.e. across the Nation as well as Vertically i.e. across one
chosen sector. For Building these Communities the role of associations (in Various States/ Districts and in Various Sectors/
Products) is very important and they would act as catalysts for nurturing these communities.

Horizontal Community: This means that a visitor can go anywhere across India from SMEnetwork. It would be networked across
all the States and Districts within that state. Every State and District would have its own web site, which would have both Business
and General information about the place. To view these pages one has to first go to Home Page, Select the Networked State and
then From the State to the Networked District.

Again to lend credibility to the Information, only State Level and District level Associations of that State and District respectively
would manage the Information and Content about the place.

Vertical Community: Now apart from State and district Level Association there are associations which cater to only one Industrial
Sector like Engineering and within Engineering there are further more specialized associations like Chemical Engineering, Civil
Engineering etc. These are what we call Vertical Associations who are specialists in their Domains and unlike Horizontal cater to a
     specific area.

These associations would act as catalysts in developing a Vertical community. they would manage their domains and provide
specific and enriched information for the viewer.

The idea behind involving all the associations is to make SMEnetwork a community where people could come and share their
knowledge and Expertise about their areas and provide SMEs and others with valuable Information. As Associations are the most
knowledgeable due toi their experience who could be better than then in providing information.

Each State /District (or Sector/Product) to have its News section which would be updated and maintained by the Association. It
would also have Flash Messages which are short Messages to display something important to be done or about to happen.

The idea is to break down all possible barriers arising in Business by providing Information Geographically as well as Product Wise.
The Value it would Create could be seen from this.

Example: Suppose Mr. ABC based in Muzaffarnagar wants to know whether his product has a market in Tamil Nadu. He has 3
     options:

    1. He could go to Tamil Nadu from the Main Page and read about the Industries and Markets there. He could even phone/email the
Association managing Tamil Nadu about his details, which would then respond with the details.(Note: If he is a member of
SMEnetwork the response from Tamil Nadu is likely to be faster due to the Trust Factor.
)

   2. Mr. ABC could take an alternative route by going to the Networked Sector/Product which covers his product and ask about the
feasibility of selling his product in Tamil Nadu.

   3. Ideally He could Do both by asking both the experts for their views and take a decision. Meanwhile if he decides to make a visit to
Tamil Nadu he could take Associations Help in finding an appropriate place to stay and manage his visit.

So by just trying to visualize ourselves in Mr. ABC's shoes one can understand that these problems are often faced by SMEs and
with increasing competition these are going to be the order of the day and how the NetworkedStates, NetworkedSectors and
     NetworkedAssociation could help anybody.

And the day people start believing in the System we end up becoming a complete Trusted SME Community for whom there are no
     boundaries and walls.

    4. Interactive Component:
This section is again only for the Registered Members. (For Registration Details Click here)

In this section the members have been provided tools to interact with each other and even the Government. Below is a brief
summary of all the tools and for details Click Here.

    i) Trade Leads-This allows a member to post offers to Buy and Sell various items and also see other members' offers and bid for
       them.

ii) Forums- This simply means discussions on the Internet. This is to allow each member to read the thoughts of other on various
Special Topics and even post his views for the same. This enables learning as well as sharing of Ideas.

iii) Email- This allows to send and receive emails on SMEnetwork both from members and outsiders.

Want to know more about  email.

    iv) Messenger
-This tool although similar to Email in design differs in concepts. In Email a person can send(receive) messages
to(from) anybody who knows the email address but Messenger is only meant for sending Messages to Members of
SMEnetwork. Others cannot use it. It is interconnected with Trade Leads and Forums meaning a member can compose
messages from Forums and Trade Leads directly which would be sent to the concerned member. Unlike in Email where a
message is sent to abc@smenetwork.net, in messenger it can be simply sent to abc.

    v) Grievance Cell-This tool allows a member to send his Grievances to Central as well as State Governments. Within the
Governments one can choose the Ministries and Departments. All these components like Pillars stand together and no one is
less important than the other. They all reinforce each other and together constitute the spirit behind SMEnetwork .
